The world is spinning. Change is accelerating, spinning faster and faster. Some of it is painful.  Some of it is exciting.  All of it is baffling.

Our responses are a melange of exhilaration, dread, curiosity, and uh-huh. But one can feel that the world is heading towards a dramatic rebirth.

This was all predicted in the Talmudic and spiritual texts like the Zohar. What is extraordinary is that you and I happen to be right here, witness, centre-stage, as it is all unfolding.

Can you feel it? Can you smell it in the air and hear it in the air waves. You can sense it, almost viscerally. The centre of the spiritual explosion is a tiny piece of real estate called Eretz Yisrael. And the powerful shock waves are felt world-wide. This was always the case, but now it is visibly so.

Watch this space: the Middle East will completely change. The United States has already changed. Australia is about to change. And the rest of the world will be pulled into the undertow of amazing transformations.

Change will see discovery of new laws of science, new wonder-medicines, new energy resources. (Greta, move aside!)

It all comes with growing-pains – confusion of identity, antisemitism, fear of nuclear energy, culture clashes, intergenerational tensions, and more. But changes continue to overtake these dislocations, as the birth pangs become stronger – overwhelming forces of an emerging new world and new society.

History and future will continue to merge, producing a new hybrid that will recharacterize human relations and crystallize a discovered global sense of purpose. The big bang will have produced a new steady state. And humanity will begin to peek into the crystal ball of a new destiny.

It’s not easy to live as part of the emerging new age and yet view it objectively as an observer. But that is exactly what all of us are doing at this very moment.

Like a baby discovering that its hands are really part of its own body, we are discovering that everything is interlocking and interwoven. Nothing is redundant and nothing is without purpose.

Bila’am tried to curse the Jewish people. Instead, he found himself blessing us. That is exactly what we are reliving today. History rhymes. It looks like the world wants to curse us. And yet we can detect the birth of blessing.  Miracles and blessings.
