Candle Lighting

Shavuot Candle Lighting 2022

Lighting the candles of Shabbat and Yom Tov (festivals) is a part of ushering in the energy of those sacred moments into one’s home. The specific times of lighting correspond to the sun’s setting and stars emerging in the night sky – both of these are significant shifts in the energy of the day and dictate the time of lighting.

Below are the times to light the Shavuot candles in June 2022 (Melbourne, Australia) as well as the blessings we make.

First Night Saturday Eve 4th June 5:51pm
