This 3-Part History Series, to be delivered by David Solomon, is very generously sponsored by Maya, Jennifer & Michael Lee and Families in honour and memory of Des (Deszo) Lee, Holocaust survivor and Hungarian refugee who made a new life in Australia after enduring the atrocities of World War II and the communist revolution.
Despite his harrowing past, Des Lee, a proud Jew and a Kohen, became a successful businessman and a well-respected member of both the Jewish and Hungarian communities. His story is one of remarkable resilience and determination, overcoming immense challenges to build a thriving life in a new country.
